Captain Chris Michalik has lived in Jamestown since he was a young boy. For most of his life, he witnessed professional fishermen tying boats to the docks with their bountiful catches at the end of fishing trips that often lasted for days. As he grew up, the future Captain Chris fished from the docks and the rocks all around the island. He learned about the many species of fish and their habits. 

The professional fishing community and the ocean-oriented environment greatly influenced his thinking, turning him into an avid fisherman and dedicated conservationist. He is committed to conserving and replenishing fish stocks for future generations.

Captain Chris secured his USCG 100-ton captain's license and put his credentials to work when he acquired Blitzen, a licensed and fully insured fishing party charter boat designed for one task—to catch fish. The boat is a 28' Wayne Beal open fishing machine powered by a 3116 Caterpillar diesel engine with a cruising speed of 20 knots.

He equipped Blitzen with the finest rods, reels, and gear required to catch targeted species, and has served sport-fishing enthusiasts for more than a decade. The photos throughout the website and in the gallery are testaments to his success. Every fish in the pictures was caught on Blitzen under the guidance of Captain Chris.
